The Joyroom 65W GaN charger represents a move toward more efficient, high-density power delivery for modern multi-device users. By utilizing Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, this charger aims to provide the necessary wattage for laptops and smartphones alike while maintaining a smaller footprint than traditional silicon-based bricks. The addition of a compatible cable in the package is a significant convenience, as it eliminates the guesswork often associated with finding a lead capable of handling high-speed data and power transmission.
While the listing currently shows a relatively modest number of orders, the feedback from early adopters is nearly perfect. This suggests that the product is performing reliably in real-world scenarios. In a market flooded with generic power adapters, the Joyroom brand carries a reputation for decent build quality in the budget-to-midrange segment. However, because the order volume is still growing, buyers should weigh the high rating against the smaller sample size of reviews currently available.
✅ Pros
- Incorporates GaN technology for improved thermal efficiency and a more compact design compared to standard chargers.
- Boasts an exceptionally high buyer rating, indicating high satisfaction with build quality and performance.
- Includes a dedicated cable for computers and phones, providing a complete out-of-the-box charging solution.
- Versatile power output capable of handling most modern ultrabooks, tablets, and fast-charging smartphones.
Cons and cautions
- The total number of orders is relatively low, meaning the high rating is based on a limited pool of users.
- The price point is on the higher side for a 65W charger compared to non-branded alternatives on the platform.
- Few written reviews (14), so the rating rests on a small sample
- Price moved between $24.79 and $27.91 since 28 Sep (15 tracked days)
Who it's for: This charger is ideal for remote workers and travelers who want to carry a single power brick for both their laptop and smartphone. It is perfect for those who prioritize efficiency and space-saving technology in their tech bag.
Who should skip it: It is not the right choice for users with high-performance gaming laptops that require 100W or more, nor for those who need to fast-charge three or more high-drain devices simultaneously.
🔎 Check before you buy
- Confirm the exact number of USB-C and USB-A ports on this specific version to ensure it fits your cable setup.
- Verify with the seller if the included cable is rated for the full 65W power delivery or if it has a different limit.
- Ask the seller for the specific plug type (EU, US, or UK) to ensure compatibility with your local wall outlets.
- Clarify whether the 65W output is maintained when multiple ports are used at the same time.
💡 Tips
- If you plan to charge a laptop, ensure you use the primary USB-C port, as secondary ports often have lower maximum wattages.
- Check the 'Bundles' or 'Color' options on the listing, as different configurations might offer better value for your specific needs.
