🔍 In-depth analysis

The HUION PN05F felt nibs are specialized replacement tips designed specifically for the PW517 digital stylus. These nibs are crafted to provide a different tactile experience compared to standard plastic tips, aiming to mimic the natural friction of a traditional pen on paper. At 21.5mm in length, they are precision components for digital artists and designers who use compatible Huion tablets. The felt material is generally preferred by those who find standard nibs too slippery, as the added resistance can offer better control during detailed line work or shading.

While the product carries the Huion branding, it is important to note that these are consumable items with a relatively low order volume so far. The 4.5-star rating suggests that early adopters are generally satisfied with the performance and fit. However, because these are specialized accessories, their utility is strictly limited to the specific pen model mentioned. They represent a niche but essential upgrade for users looking to customize their drawing surface feel without changing their entire hardware setup.

✅ Pros

Enhanced tactile feedback that provides a more traditional drawing experience.
Official compatibility with the popular PW517 stylus ensures a proper fit.
Solid 4.5-star rating indicates reliable performance for the buyers who have tested them.
The current discount makes it a low-risk investment for improving your workflow.

Cons and cautions

Felt nibs typically wear down faster than plastic ones, requiring more frequent replacements.
Very low order volume means there is limited long-term community feedback on durability.

From our data

Few orders so far (10)

This analysis is written with an AI model from the product data (name, category, price, rating and orders), not from a hands-on test. How we choose and score

Who it's for: This product is ideal for digital artists and illustrators who own a Huion PW517 stylus and want a more textured, paper-like resistance while drawing. It is perfect for those who find the default plastic nibs too smooth.

Who should skip it: These nibs are not suitable for users with different stylus models or those who prefer a slick, fast-gliding sensation on their tablet screen. They will not fit non-Huion pens or older Huion versions.

🔎 Check before you buy

Confirm the exact quantity of nibs included in a single pack with the seller.
Verify if these nibs require a specific screen protector or if they are safe for use on bare glass.
Ask the seller to confirm compatibility if your stylus model is not explicitly the PW517.
Check if a nib removal tool is included in the package or if it must be purchased separately.

💰 Value verdict: Given the current discount and the respectable buyer rating, these nibs offer fair value for artists seeking a specific tactile upgrade. While the order count is low, the niche nature of the product explains this. It is a cost-effective way to potentially improve your drawing precision and comfort.

💡 Tips

Keep your tablet surface clean, as dust particles can get trapped in the felt and cause scratches.
Avoid applying excessive pressure, as this will accelerate the wear of the felt material.
Store spare nibs in a dry, dust-free container to maintain their texture.

Questions about this product

Will these nibs work with other Huion pens like the PW507?
