๐ In-depth analysis
This universal 6.86-inch MP5 multimedia player is a significant upgrade for older vehicles lacking modern connectivity. Its primary draw is the support for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing you to mirror navigation and music apps directly from your smartphone to the dashboard. The unit features a touchscreen interface and includes standard inputs like AUX and USB, alongside Bluetooth for hands-free calling. With over a thousand orders and a solid rating, it is a popular choice for drivers seeking a tech refresh without replacing their entire vehicle.
While the feature set looks comprehensive, the device relies on a wide-screen form factor that may require specific dashboard modifications or mounting kits. It supports steering wheel controls, which is a vital safety feature for maintaining focus on the road. However, as a universal unit, the ease of installation will vary significantly depending on your car model and existing wiring harness.
โ Pros
Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto support eliminates the need for messy cables on the dashboard.
High order volume and a respectable 4.4+ rating suggest consistent performance and reliability.
Includes physical connectivity options like AUX and USB for versatile media playback.
Steering wheel control support helps maintain factory-like functionality and safety.
Cons and cautions
The 6.86-inch wide-screen shape is non-standard and might require a custom fascia or trim to look seamless.
Internal processing power and RAM are not specified, which could lead to lag during heavy multitasking.
The 4.4 rating, while good, indicates that some users may have experienced minor software bugs or installation hurdles.
From our data

This analysis is written with an AI model from the product data (name, category, price, rating and orders), not from a hands-on test. How we choose and score
Who it's for: This is ideal for budget-conscious drivers who want modern smartphone integration, specifically wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, in an older car that currently lacks a screen or has a basic factory radio setup.
Who should skip it: Audiophiles seeking high-end internal amplification or users who prefer a traditional 7-inch or 9-inch square aspect ratio, as this 6.86-inch wide screen may leave gaps in standard double-DIN slots.
๐ Check before you buy
Confirm if a specific ISO wiring harness or mounting frame is required for your exact car model.
Verify the screen resolution and panel type to ensure visibility in direct sunlight.
Ask the seller if the wireless connection is compatible with your specific smartphone model and OS version.
Check if a rear-view camera is included in the package or if it must be purchased separately.
๐ฐ Value verdict: Given the high number of successful orders and the current discount, this unit offers strong value. It provides high-end features like wireless smartphone mirroring at a fraction of the cost of name-brand head units. The rating suggests most buyers are satisfied, making it a low-risk upgrade for the price.
๐ก Tips
Test the Bluetooth and wireless projection immediately upon arrival to ensure your phone pairs correctly.
If you are not comfortable with automotive wiring, consider professional installation to avoid blowing fuses or damaging the unit.
Check for firmware updates from the seller if you encounter any software glitches during the first week of use.
