This fishing combo combines two fundamental tools for any tackle box: a stainless steel fish lip gripper and a multi-purpose fishing plier. Designed to assist with landing, handling, and unhooking fish safely, the set aims to protect both the angler's hands from sharp teeth or hooks and the fish from unnecessary handling damage. The pliers serve typical rigging duties like hook removal and line trimming, while the gripper provides a firm hold on the fish's jaw during landing and release.
With over a thousand units ordered and an overall rating standing comfortably above 4.5 stars, this set has demonstrated solid real-world acceptance among recreational anglers. While listed as professional-grade, tools at this accessible price tier are best regarded as dependable utilitarian gear for casual, freshwater, or light shore angling rather than high-end expedition equipment. It offers a practical two-in-one solution for anglers assembling or refreshing their basic setup.

🔎 Check before you buy
- Confirm whether safety lanyards, lanyards with carabiners, or belt sheaths are included in the package.
- Verify the specific stainless steel grade or whether the tools require immediate freshwater rinsing after saltwater exposure.
- Check if the gripper features an integrated scale or strictly functions as a locking mechanical clamp.
- Confirm whether the plier jaws include specialized cutters suitable for thin braided lines.
💡 Tips
- Rinse both the pliers and gripper with warm fresh water after each outing and dry completely to maintain the finish.
- Periodically apply a drop of mineral or reel oil to the pivot points and springs to ensure smooth one-handed operation.
- Attach coiled lanyards to your vest or tackle bag so neither tool is accidentally dropped overboard.
